One of those days

This happened over lunch yesterday at my office foodcourt.
"Hi! do you remember me?" I was alone waiting in queue for my food... aah, who is this guy, is he talking to me, I could only see up to his chest...I move my neck 40% upward and I saw this hunk and he was smiling at me "Don't you remember me, I used to worked in your EDP dept". If anybody who looks like him, all tan and muscular worked in my dept before surely I will remember. "Oh I am sorry, I can't recall you, you must have grown up a lot" I replied. "Oh maybe I have got more muscles now" he smiles. "I am Helmi". Thanks Helmi for saying hi, it's not so much that you are a hunk but you actually bother to say hi to me even though you were just working as my part-timer years back. You make my day. Eeemmm next time if I stumble on somebody that I know, I will make it a point to say hi instead of avoiding them. A lesson well learnt.

The Bash

Finally end of April, I managed to organised a birthday party for Meescha at Mc Donald's. She only wanted to invite her school friends. She was very anxious and her little sister keep on asking her "are you going to invite me, where's my invitation card". On that nice saturday afternoon we had 15 beautiful young girls jumping around and dancing. Meescha was so happy with all her friends who turn up and of course the gifts.

Last night while tugging Meescha in bed, she asked me "Mum why is it that mother got to do everything"? Good question, at least she noticed. On the other hand Kristen used to asked me "Mum why you always asked daddy to help you, you are lazy"? eemmm. Let me see what does daddy help me with upon REQUEST: folding clothes (got to close one eye), mopping floor (my floor will look like Sunway Lagoon wave pool) and oh ya! hanging out the clothes (even though one sleeve in or half of the pants are tanggled together). And yes, dear daddy always make bottles and bottles of milk for her.

A Time to Rest

Last weekend we went for a 2 night trip to Admiral Cove, Port Dickson. It was indeed beautiful.
The room was even equipped with 36" plasma TV. It was a wonderful holiday cum studying time for Meescha. My husband and I had a fun time at tennis.... the kids had a superb time picking up the balls. It was a nice break... let the pictures speak

The secret garden

My dear friend, Lay Peng wants to have a peep at my garden, maybe to steal some landscape...
The garden as you can see is a very simple conventional plain garden....easy to maintain. But the grass seems to be growing as so I boost them with vitamins 4 times a day. Trimming the grass with the little not so sharp paper scissors is really tiring. The full time grass cutter is not of any help either.....they charge premium.. RM50 for my little garden... they must be crazy. Think I make money from planting grass?? By the way they are not even Malaysian. I might as well give them a little competition by start cycling around my neighbourhood with my little scissors... can give some discounts to the neighbours too.... Afterall the hitech bicycle of mine is just sitting in the store room and is turning into an expensive hanger for our bags

Oh boy what am I talking about??

My little bed

Last Tuesday I stayed home to take care of Meescha as she was not well. I woke Kristen early in the morning and told her if she gets ready quickly, she doesn't have to stay for daycare. That got her motivated, she changed and quickly went downstairs. As I saw her approaching the sofa, I told her not to nap on it, as we are ready to go. I went to the kitchen to fill up her water and snack box. Went back to the hall and look at her, she obediently skip the sofa...

The sun is shinning

The daycare called and told us that Meescha has got a temperature. The doctor said it's one of those virus and gave her 3 days MC. Stayed home yesterday to take care of her. She was feeling much better last night, so I told her she better go to school tomorrow, she reminded me that the doctor said she can be off for 3 days, I reasoned with her..."Thursday is a public holiday, you better catchup with some lessons since next week is your exam". Obediently she told daddy, "mummy said must go to school".

eeehm "That's a good girl"

She's eight, then how old am I?

It was not that long ago, she turns 7 isn't, infact it was not that long ago that I used to tell her bedtime stories, it was not that long ago she refer to herself as "Fish" short of "Meesc". It was not that long ago when one fine evening she came downstairs and told me "Mummy, I don't like Joy (her younger sis), she's not cute anymore"...that's when her sister knows how to argue with her.

Yesterday was her eight birthday, she blow a cake in sunday school, she blow a cake from her Doris Ee Ee and one princesses cake at home. I was right, she was trilled with all her books, I had top up the gift bag with more books from her favourite musicians, Bhrahms, Beethoven....

And we went to this Japanese restaurant in Taipan for dinner and she ordered Cod teppanyaki.
It was a good day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE, MUM LOVES YOU DEARLY

Speachless Daddy

The other day my youngest daughter received some kind of scolding from my husband, we were in the car and dad continue to nag her. Then dad asked "Do you hear me Joy"? She didn't answer. Dad repeat "Do you hear me"? She replied "My ears are off". Dad asked "What do you mean"? She replied "I have switched off my ears, so I can't hear your voice" Dad ????????
After a while dad said "I am thinking of going to this restaurant, who wants to follow"?
Immediately my eldest daughter said, me and then a reply from Joy "I want to go also"
Dad said "I thought your ears were off, you can't hear me" Joy immediately replied "Oh! now I on them already" Dad ?????!!!!!!!!

My long forgotten hobby

When was the last time I finished a paperback? No clue... Here and there I read and skip pages of non fiction books, but fiction books were ages ago.

Last week I actually completed reading "Singing Bird" which we bought at a warehouse sales for RM10.00. My 7 year old daughter thought the title is interesting and has started to read it, thank God there's no love scene in it otherwise how do I explain to her, making love... and all those stuff.

Yesterday, hubby went fishing after church, so I took the girls for shopping spree, nobody to tell us it's already what time, what time.... or it's time to go home .....

So we shop and shop from 2pm till 10pm. And hubby brought back tiny little fishes for me to fry. This morning both can't wake up, from bed to sofa and to car seat.....

Aaah it has been a while since my last article. Just too much things to catch up. Just came back from a shopping trip in Bangkok, how do I describe it? WONDERFUL!!! Brought back a lot of goodies for the girls and hubby too. Missing them like crazy in Bangkok.

The other day my youngest daughter told me "Mummy I love Prince (her friend in sunday school), but not that funny, funny love you know...it's God's love. God said must love each other right?" She didn't end there "And my sister loves Ryan" ???? My wonderful babe.

Holiday and Real Holiday

The kids are definitely enjoying their school holiday now. Even though they still go to the daycare centre, it's better than having classes. Our real holiday will start next week, can you imagine 1 week off.....I am as happy as my 4 year old. Everyday she will remind me.... don't forget to pack my swimming costume, make sure the hotel has swimming pool mum, I don't want short holiday aah.

But today again, she refused to get up in the morning, we went shopping for their flower girls accessories until 11pm last night. Finally when she opened her eyes, she asked me "Mum is it still school holiday?" and when I replied yes, she leaped from the sofa "yeah no class". "Hurray, saturday is the wedding". Probably more excited than the bride. Our friends are getting married and the girls are the flower girls, first time for Kristen but quite season for Meescha.
This was Kristen's prayer in the car today "Lord, help us to do well as flower girls in the wedding"
