A morning to feel good about

Ok I am going to take couple of minutes blogging about this morning before I start my work. I overslept just now and Meescha was the one who woke me up. She went downstairs and asked me how to prepare her cereal breakfast. Taught her and she did it and she cleans up after that. Then she helps me to fill the drinking water bottles for Kristen and her to take to daycare. Later I saw her taking out the bags and start preparing things that she needs to bring, she went to the shelves and took her bible, she said the teacher asked her to bring. She did all these while I was ironing my clothes. Then I heard she said "Mum I am going upstairs to wake Kristen up" . Eeeem what a bliss morning.

Yummy Hightea

We were at Sunway Pyramid Hotel for a hightea, all because Kristen won 1st prize in father and daughter event at her school's sports day.. since hubby has been busy with college mum decided it should be a ladies affair. After hightea we adjourned to the shopping complex next door and shop until 10pm.... It was great, thanks Kristen and thanks for yesterday's treat too.

Her day

Both the girls love to be on stage a total opposite of me. In the midst of all her exam Meescha had her music concert. She sang solo "I have a dream" by Abba.

She won best dressed award.

She was also in the dance category, drumming, keyboard and xylophone. Kia Su....no, the teachers noticed her talent and asked her to perform and she enjoys them.

And she leads the kids from the intermediate class in this amazing ballet.

East and West

If Meescha loves Italian food than Kristen is into Japanese food, her passion is on maki rolls. She enjoys sitting next to the conveyor belt waiting for her favourite Uramaki, Ikura maki and Kanimayo. If we are out at any complexes she will always asked "can we stop for a plate of sushi?" and of course we don't end up with a plate but more than a dozen.
So the other weekend I produce this, she thought that her mum is a genius to be able to produce such delicacy. Oh the organic pumpkin soup was also very delicious.

Puasa and the kids detour

During the Ramadhan month the lane near my house is converted into the buka puasa stalls and I need to pass this lane to get home and every evening this will be the question I get from Meescha "Mum, can we go buka puasa?" Me, "Why do you need to buka puasa when you never puasa?" Meescha, "Oh I like the nasi tomato, the murtabak, the nasi minyak bla bla bla....

Food & Fruits

Over the weekend we had such a "wah la" time at Tampin. It was a real local fruits feast. Let me see what was awaiting us: Durains...plenty and huge, mangosteens...fresh from the trees..oh so juicy, rambutans....red, yellow, green name it, langsat and of course the "long kang mee" eemm it was haven. And yes the delicious petai. Infact the whole stretch of Melaka-Tampin road was full of colourful rambutans on the trees, it almost look like spring.

Hopefully, the season will stay longer, then we can have another feast during the coming school holiday, anybody else feel like joining?. This invitation is open to all Yau's relatives.....any takers??

Words sister could use

This is from Kristen "Daddy, daddy I want to take my bath immediately, my sister said I am smellier than a skunk" Daddy almost roll on the floor.
This morning while she was drinking her milk "Mum, remember sister said I smell like a skunk"... I gave a kiss on her head and said "No you smell like love, lots of love" and she smile...

One of those days

This happened over lunch yesterday at my office foodcourt.
"Hi! do you remember me?" I was alone waiting in queue for my food... aah, who is this guy, is he talking to me, I could only see up to his chest...I move my neck 40% upward and I saw this hunk and he was smiling at me "Don't you remember me, I used to worked in your EDP dept". If anybody who looks like him, all tan and muscular worked in my dept before surely I will remember. "Oh I am sorry, I can't recall you, you must have grown up a lot" I replied. "Oh maybe I have got more muscles now" he smiles. "I am Helmi". Thanks Helmi for saying hi, it's not so much that you are a hunk but you actually bother to say hi to me even though you were just working as my part-timer years back. You make my day. Eeemmm next time if I stumble on somebody that I know, I will make it a point to say hi instead of avoiding them. A lesson well learnt.

The Bash

Finally end of April, I managed to organised a birthday party for Meescha at Mc Donald's. She only wanted to invite her school friends. She was very anxious and her little sister keep on asking her "are you going to invite me, where's my invitation card". On that nice saturday afternoon we had 15 beautiful young girls jumping around and dancing. Meescha was so happy with all her friends who turn up and of course the gifts.

Last night while tugging Meescha in bed, she asked me "Mum why is it that mother got to do everything"? Good question, at least she noticed. On the other hand Kristen used to asked me "Mum why you always asked daddy to help you, you are lazy"? eemmm. Let me see what does daddy help me with upon REQUEST: folding clothes (got to close one eye), mopping floor (my floor will look like Sunway Lagoon wave pool) and oh ya! hanging out the clothes (even though one sleeve in or half of the pants are tanggled together). And yes, dear daddy always make bottles and bottles of milk for her.

A Time to Rest

Last weekend we went for a 2 night trip to Admiral Cove, Port Dickson. It was indeed beautiful.
The room was even equipped with 36" plasma TV. It was a wonderful holiday cum studying time for Meescha. My husband and I had a fun time at tennis.... the kids had a superb time picking up the balls. It was a nice break... let the pictures speak

The secret garden

My dear friend, Lay Peng wants to have a peep at my garden, maybe to steal some landscape...
The garden as you can see is a very simple conventional plain garden....easy to maintain. But the grass seems to be growing as so I boost them with vitamins 4 times a day. Trimming the grass with the little not so sharp paper scissors is really tiring. The full time grass cutter is not of any help either.....they charge premium.. RM50 for my little garden... they must be crazy. Think I make money from planting grass?? By the way they are not even Malaysian. I might as well give them a little competition by start cycling around my neighbourhood with my little scissors... can give some discounts to the neighbours too.... Afterall the hitech bicycle of mine is just sitting in the store room and is turning into an expensive hanger for our bags

Oh boy what am I talking about??
